Lone Star Cilantro Jalapeño Mayonnaise

5 September 2008 No Comment

An unusual, creamy sauce for tacos or other Mexican food. It goes especially well with carnitas or fish tacos.

2 cups

  • 1 ¾ cups mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
  • 1 rinsed and stemmed jalapeño chili (remove seeds for less heat)
  • 1 peeled garlic clove
  • ½ cup lightly packed fresh cilantro
  • salt
  • pepper

In a blender or food processor, combine all ingredients. Whirl until smooth, add salt to taste.
